Once again, we visited AES and snapped some pictures of the latest and greatest in the world of new gear! The 2019 show was compact, but pleasantly busy.

Microhones
A standout from the show was the ultra affordable FET47 clone from United.
The latest from Roswell Audio was on display.
The newest offering from Roswell was the miniature k87, for a U87-inspired sound in a compact and affordable package.
Samar Audio had new mics on display.
Samar unveiled a low cost ribbon.
And Samar presented a carbon-fiber body version of their TF10 condenser.
Telefunken’s new TF line is now shipping, a replacement for their earlier AK line of mics.
MicParts showed off DIY kits.
Warm showcased its latest mic offerings.
A new miniature addition to the Schoeps family arrived, reducing size without compromising on sound quality.
Shure brought their live capsules to the studio world and even more venues by creating a wired version of their wireless mic bodies.
Hardware
Black Lion showed off the new (and shockingly affordable) “BLUEY” compressor, a design based on Chris Lorde Alge’s cherished “Frankenstein” blue-stripe 1176.
Black Lion also showed off the new “Eighteen” preamp and EQ channel strip, reminiscent of an API pre into a solid state version of a Pultec EQ.
The latest prototype from Black lion is an 1176 and LA-2A compressor in one, for two channels that can be used in parallel or in series.
TK Audio unveiled the new T-Komp master bus processor.
A 500 series version of the T-Komp was also unleashed.
Cloud showed off a prototype of a transformer based version of its Cloudlifter line.
Access Analog presented one of the most novel new designs. I series of motors that can be used to access and control prestigious hardware gear remotely, with a whole suite of high end tools ready to be booked.
Gyraf showed off its TEC award nomination.
Soyuz revealed an active audio sweetener to add mojo to microphones.
Terry Audio debuted their new CEQ: 6-band mix/master EQ using Pultec and Neumann circuits “with an extra twist.”
Tape THIS: Mara Machines gleamed with a new transformer card bringing fresh sonic options.
Interfaces
The recently-released Scarlett series has swiftly become a top-seller.
Focusrite’s higher end Red line on display.
The latest from Antelope included the new Orion Studio.

Consoles
The new “Origin” console from SSL was a showstopper that attracted a real crowd. It carries a price tag roughly 1/3rd of the average attendee’s guess.

Zoom zoomed in with their new LiveTrak L-8, specifically made for podcasters.
Now shipping: The Avid S1 slimline control surface made its AES debut.

Avantone showed off a new amp for the passive versions of the CLA-10 monitors.

Dynaudio revealed a new sub to go along with their latest Core series of monitors.

Software
Audio demos of the new APB-16 from McDSP were available at a major US trade show for the first time outside of MixCon.
Eventide demo’d the new Rotary effect.
iZotope showed off the new features in Ozone 9.
A suite of new software tools from Antelope.
