NYC Event Alert: IMSTA Festa – SAE, 9/23
It’s IMSTA FESTA time! One day past the autumnal equinox, and the sun rises with the splendor of this annual celebration of music technology.
As always, IMSTA FESTA is free to attend (RSVP required), and will be held at SAE Institute NYC, 218 West 18th Street, September 23 from 11 AM – 6 PM. That’s when/where IMSTA (aka the Intl. Music Software Trade Assoc.) and SAE will host a day packed with Panels, Workshops & Master Classes, Song Critiques, Demonstrations and more.
Whatever you do, don’t miss the Keynote starting at Noon sharp. The legendary producer Just Blaze (Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye West, Eminem) will sit down with prolific SonicScoop contributor Paul “Willie Green” Womack. “The interview will be a conversation about Just Blaze’s career path producing some of the biggest hip hop ever,” Green says, “his insight into the changing music industry, his production tools and how his style has changed over the years. I’m expecting some good studio stories. We’ll end with some advice for up-and-comers and Q&A.”
IMSTA FESTA’s philosophy is to host industry experts in an environment where music-makers can network, interact and learn with each other face-to-face. IMSTA FESTA is free and open to everyone in the music making community; professional and semi-professional musicians, songwriters, music producers, and audio engineers, as well as music students and educators.
