NYC Event Choice: Women in Music Annual Holiday Party – 12/4 at Le Poisson Rouge
The holiday season officially begins on December 4th this year.
That’s when Women In Music, one of the hardest working organizations in NYC – or nationwide for that matter – relaxes for a night with their annual Holiday Party. Even better, everyone’s invited to join in on the celebration.
Now that you know the “why,” here’s the when and where: Wednesday, Dec. 4th, 2013 at Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker Street, NYC from 7pm to 11pm.
This is going to be more than just a dance party. Also on the agenda are complimentary hors d’oevres, select drinks from WIM’s sponsors, silent auction items, nonstop top DJ’s and a live performance by major label recording artist BETTY WHO.
Women in Music members plus one guest get in free (RSVP here). Non-WIM members, plus any additional WIM guests should purchase a ticket for $10 each by visiting here, or going directly to the LPR website.
(As a one time only offer, guests may sign up as a WIM Member at the event for a discounted $40 annual membership fee, and get in free — new members only.)
If you’re not yet familiar with WIM, get with the program! Women In Music is an organization with a mission to advance the awareness, equality, diversity, heritage, opportunities, and cultural aspects of women in the musical arts through education, support, empowerment, and recognition.
They regularly produce seminars, panels, showcases, achievement awards, and youth initiatives that celebrate the female contribution to the music world, and strengthens community ties.
