NYC Event: Kaleidoscope Sound Weekend Audio Intensive – March 3-5
Opportunity for higher education is knocking, at one of the NYC area’s elite studios.
Kaleidoscope Sound will be hosting a Weekend Audio Intensive from March 3-5 at their Union City, NJ facility. Home to an exquisite API Legacy Plus console and 600 square-foot live room in their Studio A, plus an SSL Matrix hybrid analog/digital set up in The Patio, the course will provide audio engineers with a wealth of information on tracking and mixing.
Hands-on experience and complete interaction with the instructors will be emphasized at the intensive, which is being led by Kaleidoscope Sound founder Randy Crafton, and Kaleidoscope’s Chief Engineer Kyle Cassel as they run a recording and mix session top to bottom with “swamp jazz” guitar great Walter Parks (Richie Havens). Crafton has over 30,000 hours of studio experience to his credit.
Presented by Alto Music and SonicScoop, the Intensive costs $325 to attend, and is open to anyone who records music and wants to hone their skills, however some experience working in a DAW, recording and mixing is assumed.
