Online Event Alert: “How To Survive In An Industry in Turmoil” – November 19 w/EveAnna Manley, Sylvia Massy, and Ken “Pooch” Van Druten
Wondering how the top audio pros are conquering Covid? KMD Productions continues to serve the industry with this free panel, happening online on November 19th at 11 AM Pacific/2 PM ET.
In “How to Survive In an Industry in Turmoil,” three pro audio insiders explain how they’ve gone from shock to action during the COVID-19 pandemic. See how a manufacturer, a live sound engineer and a studio engineer have been able to adapt, change and not give up in the face of adversity.
This 30 minute panel will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A. The event is free but you must register here to attend.
The panelists are:
EVEANNA MANLEY
EveAnna Manley is the boss lady at Manley Laboratories, Inc., manufacturer of audiophile vacuum tube products and high-end recording equipment. She has been building gear in Southern California since 1989. In her spare time, you might find EveAnna searing a sous-vide Wagyu steak, making a double-play at second base, or riding a motorcycle in Vietnam. In 2020, however, there is less free time and more emails to answer, more Zoom meetings, and more steaks.
SYLVIA MASSY
Producer Sylvia Massy is best known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash and Prince. She’s received more than 25 gold and platinum record awards throughout her three 30+ year studio career. Sylvia is one of the leading experts on audio equipment and owns the world’s largest collection of vintage mics. She’s also an accomplished Artist and Illustrator, a published Author, in-demand Educator and a relentless Entrepreneur. But to her many friends, she’s just Sylvia, the Radiant Being.
KEN “POOCH” VAN DRUTEN
Ken “Pooch” Van Druten is a tenured and acclaimed producer, recording engineer, and live sound mixer. His track record of recognition for flawless engineering started from Berklee College of Music through three Grammy nominations and a history of platinum and gold records. He is the Front of House Live Sound Engineer behind Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Iron Maiden, KISS, Guns & Roses, Linkin Park, and many more. He holds more than a dozen live sound engineer accolades, including a TEC Award, 8 Tour Guide Magazine Engineer of the Year awards, and a Parnelli award.
