Outline North America (NY) Names Tom Bensen SVP, Managing Director
Outline, a manufacturer of speaker systems for touring, installation and studio applications, announced that it has named Tom Bensen as senior vice president and managing director for its U.S. subsidiary, Outline North America, LLC. Bensen will be based in Outline’s US offices in Farmingdale, NY.
Tom Bensen has joined Outline North America senior vice president and managing director.
Tom Bensen has worked in the pro audio industry for the past 35 years. In addition to his role with Outline, Tom is president of RF Pro, a company that provides management/consulting services, support, market access and representation for pro audio manufacturers. He has been identifying emerging technologies and bringing them to the forefront of the industry for the past 15 years.
Outline recently featured both the GTO Line Array Series and iMode Intelligent Digital Loudspeaker Control Platform at InfoComm 2011. GTO is a unique combination of high power output in a compact and relatively lightweight cabinet featuring Outline’s patented “Butterfly” design.
According to Outline, the cabinets deliver crystal clear, non-colored, high SPL audio capable of bringing listening environment quality to the live event experience. The iMode Intelligent Digital Loudspeaker Control Platform embeds a Linux-based CPU with integrated DSP chip, parameter control software and web server right into its powered speaker systems, thereby streamlining setup and control by eliminating the outboard gear between the console and power amplifier.
The company also named Chris Hinds as European Sales Manager.
