Positive Grid Unveils BIAS Desktop – Amp Designer, Modeler, and Matcher

BIAS Desktop isn’t your average guitar amp designer environment.

The new software from Positive Grid features a unique amp matching system that will analyze and replicate any direct or pre-recorded guitar track. More specifically, it will replicate the tone itself. Positive Grid has included a huge amount of vintage amps to choose from with interchangeable tubes, preamps, transformers, tone stacks, cab, and mics.

Once users find their dream tone, they will be able to share them with other BIAS user on the ToneCloud. Or they can be selfish and keep it all to themselves!

Amp Matching utilizes a collection of underlying technologies to analyze and compare your currently selected BIAS amp model and the target amplifier (or recorded track). It then executes the tonal compensation and enhancement needed to make your amp model sonically match the target amplifier.

Share and download artist- and user-designed and matched amps right inside BIAS.

The tone-creation possibilities are now virtually infinite with BIAS. Download artists’ signature amps, or try out the latest and popular user-created tones. Search for that special tone you’ve always wanted.

BIAS Expansion

In addition to the industry-acclaimed BIAS Standard preamp and power amp modules, BIAS Desktop offers three new preamp and power amp modules optimized for specific tone styles: Glassy, Crunch, and Insane.

While BIAS Standard modules offer the maximum flexibility to customize the most sought-after amp models, the Expansion Packs’ preamp and power amps are designed for specific tone styles.
