Producertech Launch Online Training Site for Maschine
It’s not just a Maschine, it’s a way of life.
That seems to be how the educators at Producertech feel, considering the inspired energy behind http://www.maschine-courses.com. Their new site is designed from the ground up to provide quality online training for Native Instrument’s increasingly popular groove production studio, Maschine.
The courses range in price from $19.95 to $69.95, offering complete guides that cover all areas of Maschine’s software and hardware. House and Glitch Hop are featured first, plus a highly intriguing Producer’s Guide to Music Theory with Maschine. More are on the way of course.

The new site has a sleek look and intuitive functionality, working well on all browsing devices, such as smart phones and tablets, making it easy for students to access courses from wherever they are in the word, at whatever times they like.
Plus, all of the courses come with accompanying downloadable materials, such as the Maschine projects from the course and bonus packs of Loopmasters samples and Maschine kits, with all core courses also providing written notes and the theory course coming with practice projects and answer sheets, enabling students to practice their newly-acquired skills.
The two latest courses on the site are made by Producertech head tutor and course creator, Rob Jones, a certified software trainer and accomplished producer. The first of these, on House production, shows how to make a lush, deep house track, from the initial beat creation, to the composing of all melodic parts, arranging and mixing the track, right through to exporting the final master.
Visiting the course page on the site allows access to both a free sample lesson from the course, as well as the final, completed premaster of the track, which was exported directly from Maschine, with no additional processing or use of the DAW.
The second course is truly the first of its kind, aiming to deliver tutorials that explain the main principles of music theory and apply them to the relevant stages of dance music production. Topics include song key, scales, intervals and chords, with numerous examples of how all of this knowledge is used to create basslines, leads, pads, arpeggiated sounds and much more.
The course comes with comprehensive written notes, so students have a permanent reference to everything covered in the tutorials, as well as a load of practice sessions, with accompanying guides and answer sheets; these allow students to practice identifying the key of a bassline or chords sequence and then making musical parts to go with them.
The Complete Guide to Maschine is a detailed look at every aspect of the software and hardware, going through each of the main areas, such as Pattern creation, making and editing Sounds and Groups, working with Scenes, Sampling, using Plug-ins as both inserts and send effects, and also bonus lessons on using Maschine as a MIDI controller for Ableton Live and how automation works in the DAW. This Course is now fully updated to Maschine version 2.
Furthermore, new tutorials are currently being made for both Maschine Studio and Mikro, so very soon there will be complete guides to all three versions of the hardware. Many more courses are planned for later in the year too, including those that teach other styles of music, such as a Drum and Bass course by DJ Fracture, and much more!
Visit http://www.maschine-courses.com today to check out all of these new tutorials and also the first part of Defazed’s Glitch Hop production course, showing how he constructed the beats and bass for the mighty track ‘Terrapin’, one of the tracks from the latest compilation album from up and coming new label, The Glitch Shop, available as a free download on Soundcloud.
