Recording Studio Sweet Spot – 825 Records, Brooklyn (Video Tour)

He’s not the hardest-working man in music — yet.

But give Matty Amendola time, and the Brooklyn producer/engineer/composer/multi-instrumentalist may yet get a share of that coveted title. There’s nothing musical he won’t do, whether it’s artist development, laying down a killer drum track, or cutting vocals at 3 AM to score a commercial on deadline.

He used to do all this in the basement of his family’s NYC abode, but he’s recently moved on up…to the sun-drenched ground floor. Now his practice, 825 Records, has a no-compromises new home.

Designed by Amendola, and built out by studio builder Chris Harmaty (Converse Rubber Tracks/Jungle City Studios) and technical consultant Brian Dorfman (Orchard Design, LLC) the new 825 Records facility is a full service production facility. Amendola is in good company here as well, joined by GRAMMY-winning producer Butch Jones (Talking Heads, B-52’s, Madonna, Iggy Pop, Malcolm McLaren).

We could write on and on about this highly versatile spot, but we’d rather just show you. So press “Play”, and soak in our latest Sweet Spot (plus bonus photo gallery below!).
