SAE New York to Hold First-Ever Alumni Awards on Monday, July 2
One of New York City’s most advanced audio education institutions, SAE New York, is celebrating the accomplishments of its graduates in a big way.
The occasion, which is open to the public and free to all attendees, is their first-ever Alumni Awards and Exhibit, taking place on Monday, July 2nd, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, at the Abingdon Theatre Complex in midtown Manhattan, 312 W. 36th Street.
According to SAE, the event will serve as a way to showcase the work of their graduates, as well as provide a valuable networking event for the audio industry. Members of the general public, as well as the audio industry and SAE alumni base, are all welcome to attend the event.
The awards categories include:
Engineer of the Year
Outstanding Achievement in Post-Production
Outstanding Achievement in Live Sound
Start-Up Business of the Year, and
Best Performance in a Non–Engineering role
Judges include: Scott Hull (Masterdisk), Richie Clarke (Le Poisson Rouge), Roy McDonald (The Production Plant), David Rosner (KMA), and your very own David Weiss (SonicScoop).
The host for the evening will be BizCastr’s Megan Boyle.
