Sony/ATV Extends Martin Bandier Contract, Def Jam Has New President

The New York City music business has gotten two significant personnel reinforcements.

In today’s NY Times, Ben Sisario reports that Martin Bandier of Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a long-term deal to continue on as Chairman and Chief Executive of that company.

In another Manhattan music industry development, Joie Manda has leapt from an executive position at Warner Music Group to the title of President of Def Jam Recordings (Universal).
