Sounds Like Brooklyn Festival Kicks Off This Weekend

Vivian Girls are playing at BAM tonight w/ Les Savy Fav

The annual Sounds Like Brooklyn music festival kicks off this weekend, with Les Savy Fav + Vivian Girls at BAM tonight one of the festival’s first highlights. Over the next two weekends, Sounds Like Brooklyn encompasses 60+ shows at 15 venues, featuring some of the best music of the Borough.

Other highlights at BAM: Rain Machine and Anti-Pop Consortium on Saturday (1/30) and Ra Ra Riot and The Antlers next Friday (2/5).

All the other shows appear to be next weekend, with Dred Scott Trio (2/5) and The Sweet Divines (2/6) at BAMcafe Live, tuneyards, takka takka and Rose Parade (2/5) at The Bell House, The Acrylics and Tanlines (2/5), and Small Black (2/6) at Brooklyn Bowl and shows scheduled at Galapagos, Goodbye Blue Moday and more.
