Steinberg Launches VST Connect Pro – Remote Multitrack Recording
Two applications from Steinberg — VST Connect SE and Pro — are similar as far as allowing real-time stereo remote recording sessions through Cubase + live video chat – the performer records via the free VST Connect Performer side application while the producer/engineer receives a stereo upload in real time on their Cubase DAW.

What the newly-released VST Connect Pro brings to the table is high resolution multi-track recordings that are simultaneously recorded in the background (vs the real time stereo upload) and can be downloaded after the live recording session. Another cool feature is MIDI from the host DAW can be used to trigger a live instrument in real time from anywhere in the world (seen in the video below with a grand piano).
VST Connect Pro is available now for $199 MSRP for Mac and PC but only works with Cubase 7.
