In a hectic 2015 which has seen several New York city studios close, and a few more open, facility convergence is starting to take place.

To that end, Studio G Brooklyn and GalumimumFoil Productions (GFP) have announced a partnership. The relationship has come about after GaluminumFoil was forced out of its Williamsburg studio location earlier this year.

In the new arrangement, GaluminumFoil founder Chris Cubeta is now a partner in Studio G, which is helmed by Joel Hamilton and Tony Maimone. Cubeta will be joined at the newly united facility by GFP producers/engineers Jeff Berner and Gary Atturio.

Studio G’s 5,000 square-foot space now hosts three fully operational rooms. GFP had been at its previous Williamsburg location for 10+ years, featured a 400 square-foot live room, and had upgraded to a 32-channel Neotek Elan console in 2011.

At Studio G, the partners will all share one of Brooklyn’s most comprehensive audio facilities, which includes the SSL8048 G+ Studio A, connecting to a 25’ x 28’ live space with two iso booths. Studio B is equipped with a Neve 5316.
