Billard’s appointment coincides with SweetSounds one-year anniversary at its SoHo location – he has been a resident engineer at SweetSounds Studio since 2008 when the studio was still located in the Lower East Side. In August of 2012, the studio opened their expanded facility at their current 594 Broadway location in downtown SoHo, adding the “Crosby” room and equipping it with a custom-built Rupert Neve Designs 5088 Analog Mixing Console.

The “Crosby” room serves as the primary tracking and mixing room for analog tracking and mixing sessions as well as commercials and voiceovers at Sweetsounds.

Billard’s discography includes a number of top EDM and hip hop acts, as well as engineering voiceover sessions for clients including the Cartoon Network, FOX, Lufthansa, National Geographic, and The Associated Press.

Prior to joining SweetSounds, Patrick began his career as an engineer at Loho studios in the Lower East Side, specializing in analog mixing on their Neve 8048 console. While there, he engineered for sessions such as the GRAMMY-award winning album “Wonder Wheel” by the Klezmatics, The Roots, Ryan Adams, Rosanne Case, O.A.R., They Might Be Giants, Bloc Party, Hem, Albert Hammond, Jr. (The Strokes), The Virgins, The Dust Brothers, and Gov’t mule among others.

Since then, Patrick has worked with Aesop Ant, Munch, Vaca, Corp Boyz, SIB Boyz, producer Hector Fonseca, along with successful remixes of Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelis, Rihanna and many others. His VO and ADR reel includes with celebrities such as Rick Moranis, Zosia Mamet, Jonathan Franzen, and Susan Sarandon.

“Patrick’s versatility, expertise and a deep knowledge of music has helped SweetSounds grow in many new directions,” says SweetSounds Studio Director, Dinesh Boaz. “He is equally adept in an analog mix session on the Neve console as he is when tracking voiceover and ADR projects.
Patrick has been with us since 2008 and our clients love the confidence and calm that he brings to every session.”
