Sweetwater Has Expanded Its Headquarters & Showroom Store
The musical instrument and pro audio distributor Sweetwater has recently made significant expansions and renovations to their headquarters in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The expansions provide Sweetwater employees with even more opportunities to absorb product knowledge from on-site rep offices known as Vendor Village, repair shops, and skills learned through Sweetwater University. Sweetwater’s annual GearFest will now host even more workshops, vendors, and attendees than ever before.
The renovations have also secured the Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum certification as one of the few facilities in Indiana to continue to operate as environmentally friendly.
In addition to an expanded on-site store, the updated Sweetwater facility also hosts a piano demo room for those who fancy ivory tickling to knob twiddling.
Workshops and Master Classes are held within the facility from the in-house control rooms, live rooms, and performance theater that includes a variety of sound reinforcement boards and PA systems.
Other cool tidbits included with the expansion:
- Education – Facilities for instrument lessons from local instructors
- Gear Exchange – Trade old gear in for cash or Sweetwater credit
- NEW Downbeat Diner + Dining Area – A restaurant-quality dining environment at cafeteria prices
- Crescendo Café + Crescendo Club – The central hub for every café lover that includes local gourmet sweets and hi-tech espresso. After patrons have had their orders satisfied, they can take a seat and jam out to local Indiana talent of all ages.
- Wavelengths Salon & Spa – Yes, right inside of the Sweetwater facility lies a the place to get one’s hair ‘did’, along with mani-pedi, and even a massage after a long days work.
- Video Lending Library + Gear Lending Library – Sorry visitors, employees only here: Hundreds of Blu-rays Disks, DVDs, and video games to take home to the family. The other lending library? Oh, employees can also borrow any piece of gear the company has to offer. How else would they keep their chops up?
- Slide – Last but not least…the slide. A giant metal one for the days you’re feeling nostalgic.
