Tekserve Names Jerry Gepner CEO
A highly respected media and technology mind has a new role in New York City.
Jerry Gepner is the new CEO of Tekserve.
Tekserve, the technology solutions provider and Apple reseller headquartered on 23rd Street, has named Jerry Gepner to the position of CEO. Gepner will be responsible for overseeing all business operations for Tekserve, and will create and implement growth strategies for the company.
How Gepner’s presence might affect the experience of pro audio customers who frequent Tekserve, either for their inventory of sonic software/hardware or Mac repair prowess, remains to be seen. His innovative background offers up some intriguing possibilities however: He was Co-founder and COO of Sportvision, the Silicon Valley company responsible for the First & Ten virtual first-down line used in NFL and college football broadcasts. All told, Gepner has been the recipient of five Emmy Awards, and is a named inventor on eleven U.S. patents in the media technology sector.
Prior to joining Tekserve, Gepner was Divisional CEO for the Services Division at the Vitec Group, a supplier of equipment and services to the broadcast, entertainment, and photographic industries. He has also served as president of National Mobile Television (NMT), and was also Executive Vice President for FOX Sports.
