The SCL in NY & SESAC Present Singer/Songwriter Showcase at The Living Room, 11/30
Coming up on Tuesday, November 30, the SCL in NY (Society of Composers & Lyricists) and SESAC will be presenting a showcase of songwriters who are active in Film and Television at NYC’s best singer/songwriter venue, The Living Room.
The event will be hosted by Music Supervisor/Song Plugger Suzanne Hilleary (Duncan Sheik, Suzanne Vega, Sinead O’Connor) who will offer insights into the world of licensing for film, television and video games.
The showcase will feature the following songwriter/performers:
Angela Hunte and Jane’t Sewell Ulepic, who co-wrote “Empire State of Mind” (Jay-Z and Alicia Keys) and have written for P. Diddy, Britney Spears, Ms. Dynamite and others.
Kirsten Price who’s had songs placed on CSI, Cashmere Mafia, MTV’s The City, Tough Love Couples, Bad Girls Club Miami, The L Word, Undiscovered (Lions Gate) and has a new record out now, From Brixton to Brooklyn.
NLX (Natasha Alexandra) whose credits include Brothers and Sisters, Off World (Cannes Film Festival Winner), Red Hook and Zombie Punch. Her new video for “Young Love” is currently in rotation on MTV.
Adam Elk of the indie-pop band The Mommyheads who’s scored spots for Chevy, Avon, Samsung, Ford, Adidas, Macy’s, Heineken and the new Microsoft Phone Campaign
After the show, there will be an informal gathering offering the opportunity to meet the performers and network with fellow composers, music supervisors and song pluggers.
