They Might Be Giants Release New EP, New Music App

Brooklyn’s own They Might Be Giants have a new album, Nanobots, coming out in March. In advance of the new album, the band has today released the “Nanobots EP” featuring three tracks off the upcoming album. Check out the new song “Lost My Mind” HERE.

With the EP also comes the arrival of They Might Be Giants’ new Dial-A-Song music streaming app. (They Might Be Giants’ original “Dial-A-Song” was established in the 80s, and consisted of a 718 number fans could call to hear a TMBG song played over an answering machine!)

Now available as an iPhone app from iTunes, Dial-A-Song will feature a different song every day – with this week spotlighting songs from the Nanobots EP. New songs will premiere each Tuesday, and the app will highlight selections from across TMBGs 30 year musical catalog, including rarities, live recordings, TMBGs audio podcast and side projects.

Recorded with longtime producer collaborator Patrick Dillett at his NYC studio, the full-length Nanobots is due out on March 5, 2013 via TMBG’s own Idlewild Recordings and distributed through Megaforce.
