Today, 9/30, Last Day for Free “Exhibits Plus” Badge Registration at 135th AES
Today, September 30, is the final day to register for a free “Exhibits Plus” badge to the 135th AES Convention. This year’s show takes place at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, from October 17-20th.
“Exhibits Plus” badges provide admission into the AES Exhibition show floor. Holders of these badges can also attend all of the following:
– Systems Sound Symposium
After September 30, the price of an Exhibits Plus badge becomes $25 for AES members, and $65 for non-members.
This year’s AES is offering an enticing program. Special events include “From the Motor City to Broadway: Making ‘Motown the Musical’ Cast Album” on Friday, October 18; “Inside Abbey Road 1967 – Photos from the Sgt. Pepper sessions” also on Friday; “Grammy SoundTables” and “Bruce Swedien: I Have No Secrets” both on Saturday; and “The State of Mastering – 2013” and “Lunchtime Keynote: Studio of the Future: 2020-2050” on Sunday.
Speaking of notable Special Events, SonicScoop’s Justin Colletti will moderate the always popular “Platinum Engineers” on Friday, October 18 at 2:30 PM with panelists Chris Coady, Patrick Dillett, and Manny Marroquin; and SonicScoop’s David Weiss moderates “Platinum Producers” on Saturday, October 19 at 11:30 AM — the panelists will be Jeff “The Jed Master” Jones (Eric Clapton, Wynton Marsalis, Norah Jones), ROBOPOP (Gym Class Heroes, Maroon 5, Lana Del Ray) and Dave Tozer (John Legend, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake).
