Toontrack Releases N.Y. Studios Vol.2 Drum Presets – Charles Feelgood

Electro producer, DJ and remixer Charles Feelgood (Diddy, Lady Gaga, Ashlee Simpson, Billie Holiday) has designed a set of presets for Toontrack’s New York Studios Vol. 2 SDX for Superior Drummer 2.0.

Feelgood tweaks Hit Factory and Allaire drum samples for electro/house/disco production

The presets come from Feelgood’s use and massive tweaking of the NY Studios Vol. 2 drums in his own productions, which meld electro, house and disco.

Vol.2 of the N.Y. Studio Legacy Series contains unique sample recordings from two legendary New York Studios – Hit Factory NY and Allaire Studios.

 The recordings at Hit Factory N.Y. were the starting point for Toontrack in developing its flagship software sampler, Superior Drummer 2.0.

The drums for ”New York Studios Vol.2 SDX,” were played and produced by Nir Z, Neil Dorfsman, Pat Thrall and Mattias Eklund at Hit Factory, N.Y. and Allaire Studios N.Y.

Feelgood’s presets introduce another level to what is possible with the sounds and tools in Superior Drummer 2.0.  Listen to samples here – and purchase the presets for $15. The New York Studios Vol. 2 SDX is available for $179.

Toontrack’s Superior Drummer 2.0 ($349) includes 20 GB of drum sounds recorded with “extensive and adjustable microphone bleed” at Avatar Studios in NYC, with mixer presets by Neil Dorfsman (Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, John Mayer).
