Universal Audio Releases UAD Software v8.0
Insert your own pun about classic energy drinks or big engines here, but the fact is that UA now has its own V8 — Universal Audio has officially released UAD Software v8.0.
V8.0 will include Apollo Expanded software, introduce new Apollo interface compatibility features, include Console 2.0 software with lots of updates, and four new plug-ins available for purchase.

UA’s UAD Software v8.0 is available now for PC and Mac, adding compatibility to OSX Yosemite. Here are more details from UA:
UAD Software v8.0 includes Apollo Expanded, allowing users of Thunderbolt-equipped Apollo Twin, Apollo DUO, Apollo QUAD, and Apollo 16 audio interfaces to freely combine up to four Apollos and six total UAD-2 devices — adding I/O and DSP as their studio grows. Apollo Expanded also marks the introduction of Console 2.0 software, giving Thunderbolt-equipped Apollo users dynamic new workflow options with more than 25 new user-requested features.
