Vintage Revolution Releases PedalPro System – A Hybrid Analog/Digital Multi-Effect Unit
Vintage Revolution was founded in 2007 on the idea that the qualities of DSP-based effects and the shortcomings of some analog effects were just not being exploited to their full potential – so they decided to get frisky and create the worlds first hybrid multi-effects unit for musicians – the PedalPro. If your pedal chain’s new years resolution was to cut some weight and fit back into that backpack it hasn’t been able to squeeze into since high school, now would be an ideal time to check this out.
The PedalPro System ships with the Pedalino Foot Controller as its sidekick for a grand total of €2,499 MSRP, roughly $3,181. Not sure if the price is worth all the digitally controlled fuzziness? Check out some more specs from VR themselves:
“PedalPro is the world’s first ever digitally-controlled analogue multi-effect. With no patch cables and no DSPs, its pure, studio-quality analogue sound that you can control exactly the way you want.
The first genuinely hybrid multi-effect, PedalPro brings you a scope and flexibility in how you control your analogue effects never before thought possible.
14 classic analogue effects (including optical phaser, BBD chorus and delay, Fasel-based filter, JFET distortion, and optical noise gate) are integrated into this groundbreaking device, each of which can be controlled, stored and recalled via a central digital interface.
How does it sound? Just like your guitar. Unlike digital sound processing units, the PedalPro embellishes your playing with no interference to the original tone of your guitar. That’s why so many of our users are acoustic players.
Prepare to be blown away by how it sounds – and even more so by what you can do with it. PedalPro introduces a host of possibilities never-before-seen in either digital or analogue devices.
Access effects’ parameters never before accessible. Load your presets in a split second. Reconfigure your effect chain. Store up to 500 presets and an unlimited number on a MAC/PC-based preset library. Control your parameters as you play. Use completely new modulating waveforms and synchronisable functions to produce entirely new sounds.
Everything you thought you couldn’t do – now you can. And a whole lot more.
PedalPro is part of the revolutionary new PedalPro System, which includes the Pedalino Foot Controller.”

January 19, 2012 at 1:47 pm (13 years ago)Hi, i am big fun of this device and i became the first owner in the world of the pedal pro system. I bought this unit at summer of 2010. Over the years i tried many pedals and effect units and I strongly believe that there is not other better analogue effects like pedal pro on the market at this moment.
