Help Rivers Cuomo Produce a New Song On Indaba

As first announced over the weekend on Weezer’s A.P.E. Radio station “Radio Weezer,” fans and fellow musicians can now visit Indaba Music to work with Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. Cuomo’s recording session and details are available HERE.

Says Cuomo, “I wrote this tune, ‘Shusui.’  Now I want to write the lyrics. Before I do that, I’d like somebody to produce a better demo of the music. I’ll pay you $208.”

Cuomo began recording “Shusui” before his recent tour bus crash, which left him with cracked ribs and internal bleeding.  Now, according to Radio Weezer, Cuomo is in better condition; and with ample downtime off of the postponed Weezer tour, he’s looking for the right candidate to help him produce the song into a better-quality demo form before  finishing the tune’s lyrics.

The A.P.E. “Radio Weezer” station is the band’s 24-hour channel, featuring interviews, news, personal commentary and playlists of the band’s favorite music. It’s distributed across Clear Channel Radio’s “iheartradio” network, which includes hundreds of local radio websites; the iheartradio mobile app, widgets and Weezer.com.
