AKA the Women’s Audio Mission, WAM is one of SonicScoop’s fave raves, a nonprofit organization based out of San Francisco, CA dedicated to advancing women’s presence in music production and recording.
Lucky for all in the Bay Area, WAM has just launched its Spring 2016 class schedule. SonicScoop sez: Dive in! By offering the following classes and events, WAM is actively “changing the face of sound” for members and women interested in learning about a variety of recording and production techniques:
- April 10, Noon: Recording Drums with Kiran Ghandi (Drummer for M.I.A.)
- April 14th, 7 PM: Tour of The Vintage Synth Museum
- April 21 and April 28: Introduction to Podcasts
- May 15th 11 AM: Live Sound Workshop
- May 21st, 10 AM: Introduction to Electronic Music Production
