137th AES Convention: RTW Mastering Tools PlugIn Makes US Debut

RTW is a software developer with nearly 50 years of combined audio software and hardware under their belt. Based out of Cologne, Germany, they are officially introducing their RTW Mastering Tools PlugIn to the US. The mastering plug-in offers a variety of metering options for precision and a variety of included loudness standards.

As part of Avid’s Connectivity Partner Pavilion at AES 137 (booth 1101), RTW will also have more on display including Masterclass Plugins Loudness Tools – another mastering plug-in geared toward users in the DAW environment. They will also demo their TM3-Primus – A digital hardware monitoring system aimed at professional entry-level, and smaller scale audio production.

The RTW plug-ins are compatible with Windows and Mac, and are available in RTAS, VST, and AAX formats. Here are the Mastering Tools PlugIn specs from RTW:

Designed for simple, intuitive operation by a broader user base, RTW Mastering Tools offers a wide range of PPM scales, displays and TruePPM measurements. As with all of RTW’s software plugins and TouchMonitor line of meters, RTW Mastering Tools provide support for many of the leading global loudness standards including ITU BS.1770-3/1771-1, ATSC A/85, EBU R128, ARIB, OP-59, AGICOM and CALM Act. Other key features include numerical or bar graph-type readout, plus MagicLRA and correlator display, audio vectorscope, RTA (Real Time Analyzer), SSA (Surround Sound Analyzer) and multicorrelator. For added convenience, users can choose from up to six selectable window frame sizes and multiple instances.
