iZotope releases Tonal Balance Control 2.

iZotope’s Tonal Balance 2 is now available for individual purchase, as well as included in Ozone and Neutron Advanced.

Tonal Balance Control 2 allows you to finalize and fine-tune masters by using target curves for different genres. It can also be used in mix sessions to adjust gain and EQ for Nectar, Neutron, and other compatible iZotope plugins.

Clearly view the tonal balance of your audio and compare against 12 target curves representing popular music genres. Or, load an audio file to create a custom reference curve. Talk to compatible iZotope plugins like Relay and adjust your tracks without leaving Tonal Balance Control 2. Open and control EQs from Ozone and Neutron for even more surgical possibilities.

Tonal Balance Control 2 is included in Ozone 9 Advanced and Neutron 3 Advanced, and is now also available for separate purchase, priced at $199. If you have Ozone 9 Advanced or Neutron 3 Advanced, you can update to the latest version of Tonal Balance Control 2 via the iZotope Product Portal.

FabFilter unleashes the Saturn 2 multiband distortion and saturation plugin.

FabFilter furthers their popular Saturn distortion/saturation plugin to version 2.

Saturn 2 is a major update to FabFilter’s award-winning multiband distortion and saturation plugin. It sees a top-to-bottom redesign of the Saturn interface for even greater ease of use and visualization, as well as a host of new features and improvements, including 12 new distortion styles, a radically overhauled and expanded modulation system, enhanced envelopes, linear phase processing, and a pristine new “Superb” High Quality mode.

Saturn 2 almost doubles the number of distortion styles on board from 16 to 28. “Subtle” versions of the Tape, Tube, and Saturation styles provide low-intensity warming, while four new British (Rock, Pop) and American (Tweed, Plexi) amp styles perfectly model well-known guitar amplifiers. Three Transformer styles (Subtle, Gentle, Warm) open up abrasive new possibilities, and the Foldback and Breakdown FX styles reshape and mutate sounds beyond recognition, the latter combining down-pitching with heavy distortion.

FabFilter Saturn 2 is now available for $154, supporting Windows and macOS in VST and VST 3, Audio Units, AAX, and AudioSuite plugin formats. Bundles with FabFilter Saturn 2 and other FabFilter plugins are also available at the FabFilter Shop.
