A Multi-Million Dollar Studio with $400 speakers??

If you had millions of dollars to spend on building a studio, how much of it would you spend on your speakers?

I’m guessing a LOT, right?

Well, I just did a virtual tour of a beautiful new build out at Avid’s new studios in Burbank California, and they don’t have a single speaker in there that costs more than $400.

Why?? Because they believe they are some of the best translating studio monitors out there today.

They’re not alone. I was recently talking to past MixCon presenter and top charting mix engineer Jeff Ellis and he told me that he sold his much more expensive speakers for these very same studio monitors, which were a fraction of the cost.
