“An Evening in Memory of Michal the Girl”, Monday 12/19 @ Canal Room

The New York City music and sound community were deeply saddened in late November, when the emerging singer/songwriter Michal the Girl died hours after giving birth to a healthy pair of twins.

Michal Lura Friedman was an energetic part of the NYC production landscape — a busy musician, prolific songwriter, voiceover artist for Nickelodeon. Her life will be celebrated at “An Evening in Memory of Michal the Girl” this Monday, December 19 at the Canal Room at 285 Broadway, between 8-11 PM. Donations can also be made at http://www.thesnydertwins.com.

As it eloquently says on the event’s official Facebook page:

“Please join Michal’s family and friends in celebrating the life of our beloved Michal Friedman Snyder. This will be a night of music, dance, and speech in remembrance of our dear friend who is deeply loved and missed.

Michal has left us physically, but her spirit, music, talent, and now her two beautiful children are a legacy that will be honored Monday, December 19th at the Canal Room from 8 to 11pm.”
