Audio Post Moves: Chris Afzal Leaves Launch, Signs on with Sound Lounge

Movement of top mixing talent in between NYC audio post facilities is continuing apace in 2012. The latest lineup change sees NYC audio post-production house Sound Lounge snapping up mixer Chris Afzal from Charlex/Launch.

Sound Lounge is NOT messing around. Mixer Chris Afzal has joined their newly renovated downtown facility.

Afzal is teamed up at the post house’s newly renovated 333 Hudson Street location with mixer Seth Phillips, who recently moved downtown from Sound Lounge’s 5th Avenue HQ. Sound Lounge mixer Scott Persson will also move from Hudson Street to Sound Lounge’s uptown space, where he joins mixers Tom Jucarone, Peter Holcomb, Glen Landrum, Rob Sayers, Eric Warzecha, Juan Aceves and Rob DiFondi, among others.

Sound Lounge’s downtown clients include a number of top advertising agency clients such as KBS+P, Saatchi & Saatchi, Merkley + Partners, Wieden+Kennedy, and Euro RSCG.

First launched in 2006, Sound Lounge’s 333 Hudson Street location was recently renovated. In addition, a fourth mixing room is scheduled to be added to the 5.1 surround-ready mix suites already in place there.
