Cakewalk Announces Sonar X1, Comrehensive DAW Update Arrives 12/8

Cakewalk announced today that they will be releasing Sonar X1, a comprehensive update to their Sonar DAW. According to the company, the design, layout, and toolset have all been redesigned or enhanced extensively for faster and more efficient workflow.

Sonar X1 will be available from Cakewalk starting December 8.

Sonar X1 will be available on December 8. Until then, buyers of Sonar 8.5 will be able to upgrade free to Sonar X1, Sonar Home Studio XL to Sonar X1 Essential is free, while an upgrade from Sonar Home Studio to Sonar X1 Essential is $49.

Sonar X1 comes in Sonar X1 Essential ($99), Sonar X1 Studio ($199), and Sonar X1 Producer ($399).

Highlights of this new version of Sonar include:
