Devil Technologies Launches DTouch for Pro Tools V1.2 – Powerful Multi-Touch Control Software

Has multi-touch Pro Tools control for the rest of us arrived?

Devil Technologies, which released DTouch for Pro Tools in Spring of this year, is making a bigger noise with the launch of V1.2. The latest version further ramps up this extremely powerful software-only application, which enables multi-touch control Pro Tools Mix and Edit windows on a standard multi-touch monitor.

DTouch is able to interface with all the Microsoft Windows 7 compatible Multi-Touch-Monitors. So if you thought the only way you were going to get quality hands-on control for Pro Tools was through a Slate RAVEN or Avid S6, you now have a much more accessible option.

DTouch is available now for 200 Euros, or $268.22 at today’s exchange rates. A Full License is available on their Web-Store. Interested users can also request a Limited-Features Time-Limited Trial version of DTouch here.

The information below from Devil Technologies will enlighten you, but be sure to watch the video to see it in action – it just may set your mind reeling about this application’s possibilities:

During the recent four months, DTouch users enjoyed the power of multi-touch virtual faders, the fast and intuitive gestures on Pro Tools mixer tracks buttons, the effective DTouch toolbar, the fast recall of mixer-views, the direct control of Plug-Ins GUI and the optional integration of an external HUI-compatible controller … but they asked for more!

After 4 months of development and improvements based on users feedback, we have integrated a new macro-engine. This new powerful tool is also available in our new “DTools for Pro Tools” application.

DTouch V1.2 advanced Macro-Editor can save you hours a day, automating very complex and cumbersome command sequences. It is the most powerful macro recorder/editor/player ever specifically designed for Pro Tools.

You will be able to build incredibly complex and interactive macros with the help of a simple macro builder GUI or by using the power of an outstanding embedded Python Scripting Language Interpreter. You can build sequences of keycommands, record and play mouse moves and clicks, interact with Pro Tools windows and much more.

DTouch is distributed with a continuously updated Macro Library developed by Devil Technologies.

You will also be able to import and export your preferred macros and share your DTouch settings and Macro Library across multiple workstations.

DTouch Macro-Editor gives you a tool able to map macros to your tactile workstation keyboard; with this tool, you will be able to remap any shortcut or complex macro on a custom keyboard layout.
