Ear to Ground Sound Launches in NYC & LA – Co-founded by Rival Schools Members

The always-competitive music for picture sector in NYC and LA has gotten an interesting new wrinkle: Ian Love and Sam Siegler, both members of the high-energy rock group Rival Schools, announced that they have officially launched Ear to Ground Sound  (ETGS).

Sam Siegler (l) and Ian Love have their you-know-what’s to the you-know-what.

With a studio in Brooklyn and an office in LA, the duo has formed ETGS as a music house for TV, film, and Web. The partnership follows a steady run of scoring success for the pair, for a wide range of brands.

Love’s CV includes time in numerous bands as a guitarist and sometime vocalist, including: Burn, Die 116, Cardia, Ian Love solo, Rival Schools, States and Kingdoms and more. In addition to world tours and album production, his commercial scoring clients have included Braun, Amazon, Jordache, Astor Cosmetics, and Reebok.

Siegler is a third generation musician and native New Yorker, who spent several years alongside Love in Rival Schools, and has also drummed for Gorilla Biscuits, Judge, CIV, Glassjaw, and Head Automatica. His own scoring portfolio includes Nike, NBA, NFL, Avon and Clinique.
