Electro-Harmonix Unveils Superego Synth Engine Pedal

The new polyphonic Superego Synth Engine is an effects pedal that brings synth sounds and effects to guitarists.

The EHX Superego ($283.60) will be available in mid-May.

According to EHX, the Superego is a granular synthesizer that captures small particles of sound. This form of synthesis produces soundscapes, clouds and many other beautiful effects.

The Superego can capture and hold notes or chords, perform fluid glissandos and create oscillator-like synthesizer effects. Users can stack sounds or create infinite sustain, tweak attack and decay, or use its effects loop to invent novel synth patches.

SuperEgo Quick Specs:

– Auto mode captures and freezes notes and chords as you play
– Controllable glissando
– Sustain notes and chords as long as wanted
– Insert effects into the wet signal with the effects loop
– Latch mode with a layer feature to stacksounds
– 9 Volt power supply provided
– Price: $283.60
