Event Alert: NARAS Hosting “Enhancing Your Home Studio” Seminar Wednesday, 4/7

The New York Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences will host the professional development seminar “Enhancing Your Home Studio” this Wednesday, April 7 at 6:30PM at the chapter office.

The event will feature a panel of Grammy-winning producers and engineers discussing techniques for setting up and running a home studio. Panelists include producer/engineer Mike Barbiero (Metallica, Guns N’ Roses), producer/engineer Frank Filipetti (Foreigner, KISS), FM Design president Francis Manzella, producer/recording artist Nicki Richards, and engineer Elliot Scheiner (Foo Fighters, Beck).

The panel will be moderated by producer and NARAS Producers & Engineers Wing co-chair Dave O’Donnell (Eric Clapton, James Taylor).

Following the panel will be a series of demonstrations including how to get a better vocal sound and how to use bass trap panels to improve room recording sound. This time will also be available for networking.

The event is free to all NARAS and Grammy U members, and is $30 for non-members. Reservations can be made by calling 212-245-5440.
