HiFi Project Launches NYC Studio

The Santa Monica and Minneapolis-based music production company, HiFi Project, has expanded with a new studio in Midtown Manhattan.

HiFi brought NYC-based executive producer Jack Bradley (previously of Singing Serpent and BlackBoard 3) into the fold back in 2010, and has now expanded his team and facilities in New York with the hire of Andrea Minze, previously the Head of Creative/Music Supervisor at Tonic Music in London, and a full-time composer, Robert Di Pietro aka “DP”.

HiFi Project partner/composer Paul Robb (of Information Society) says of the expansion: “We had a plan. We wanted to grow smartly, not just quickly. By adding East Coast partner Jack Bradley, and then pausing to set up a second shop in Minneapolis, we feel we now have the momentum necessary to take on the advertising mecca of Manhattan.”

Like Bradley, and HiFi partner/executive producer Birgit Roberts, Minze started on the agency side. She was a copywriter at GSD&M before her seven year stint at Tonic, where she worked on projects with artists like Alabama Shakes, SBTRKT, and The Rolling Stones, and with brands like BMW, AT&T, Nike, and VW.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn multi-instrumentalist DP has shared the stage and recorded with artists like Norah Jones, Josh Rouse, Jesse Harris, and Vanessa Carlton, among many others. He helped score Matthew Barney’s cult classic Cremaster 4 and has composed music on national campaigns for Best Buy, Mazda, Chevy, Tropicana, and many others.

HiFi New York’s music can already be heard on campaigns for Saatchi, JWT, Digitas, Havas, McGarryBowen, McCann and more.
