iZotope Launches Iris Resonant, Iris+8 Bundle

Get ready to glock out! And these days, that’s a better move than rocking out.

This makes 8 in the Iris collection.

This makes 8 in the Iris collection.

iZotope can help you with the former notion with their release of Resonant, the eighth sound library for their Iris spectral selection-based software synth (which we found to be highly inspiring – see Nathan Kil’s SonicScoop review of Iris).

Resonant is designed exclusively for use with Iris, and features a full palette of playable, acoustically inspired patches that are built around bell, glockenspiel, kalimba and vibraphone-like samples. More traditional musical instruments are also available, as is experimentation with “wild and unusual sounds” based on cans, tubes and lampshades. Metal, wood, plastic, and other pitched percussion sources are within Resonant, providing bright and clean sounds for projects.

Resonant is available on its own. It’s arrival also helps to usher in the arrival of the new Iris+8 bundle, which features all eight sound libraries for Iris: Wood, Glass, Food, Toys, Voice, Modular, Altered, as well as Resonant.

iZotope has also expanded its Iris Cookbook  to include brand new “recipes” with step-by-step instructions and example presets. The cookbook is a handy guide that offers pro tips and tricks to get the most out of Iris.

Hop on it now for some special deals! Iris Resonant is available now through May 29, 2014 for $29 USD (reg. $49). Meanwhile, Iris+8 is available now through May 29, 2014 for $249 USD (reg. $349).
