JZ Microphones Launches J1 – Affordable Condenser Microphone

Microphone manufacturer JZ Microphones would probably never preach style over substance – that said, there’s a uniquely appealing aesthetic to the gear that’s being created by this Latvian outfit.

The latest microphone to come out of ZJ Microphones is the J1, a lower-priced alternative to systems like their well-received Vintage V11. Retailing for a price of $399, the J1 — a carioid condenser model — gives personal studios easier access to a handcrafted JZ mic, crafted under the watchful eye of founder Juris Zarins.

The Eastern European charmer JZ just got more accessible, with the new J1.
