Masterclass: Diamond Selling Mixer Richard Furch [Prince, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd]

Diamond selling mix engineer Richard Furch will walk us through an international pop mix in his MixCon Masterclass today.

First, he shows off his approach to pop vocals, drums and more in stereo, and later on, dives into the changes he makes for Atmos mixes.

At the start of his career, Richard was part of some of the seminal albums of the 2000’s such as Outkast’s “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below” and Usher’s “Confessions”, and critical darlings such as Fountains Of Wayne’s “Stacy’s Mom”.

His mix credits have grown to include the likes of Prince, Frank Ocean, Jay-Z, Tyrese, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Boyz II Men, The Weeknd, and GEM, just to mention a few, adding up to 6 Grammy winning albums out of 23 nominated albums.

In his MixCon Masterclass, premiering today at 2ET, Richard takes us under the hood of an international pop track by the artist Gentle Bones.
