Mixer/Producer JC Losada’s Sonic Projects Enters Worldwide Distribution Deal with The Orchard

A top mixer and producer has just increased his reach.

Sonic Projects Inc., the indie label founded by multi-Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning Engineer/Producer, Juan Cristobal “JC” Losada, has announced an exclusive worldwide distribution deal with The Orchard. With this new partnership, Sonic Projects’ productions and talent roster are now accessible to over 40 different markets globally.

Juan Cristobal “JC” Losada has launched a partnership pairing The Orchard with his indie label, Sonic Projects.

The Orchard, an industry leading independent music and film distributor and label services company, will now be the exclusive worldwide distributor of music projects, collaborating with Sonic Projects to develop new artists.

In addition to music distribution, the deal affords Sonic Projects access to The Orchard’s marketing, advertising, sync licensing, video monetization, performance rights services, and more. The Orchard partnership is the latest in a series of developments for Sonic Projects, which enjoys a 10-year joint venture with peermusic, the largest independent music publisher in the world. The label is based out of Losada’s SSL AWS 948 Delta-equipped studio, The Sonic Room, in New York City’s Carnegie Hall Tower.

Artists associated with Sonic Projects include Salsa superstar Edwin Bonilla, who garnered one Grammy and two Latin Grammy nominations and peaked at #15 on the Billboard Tropical Album charts with the album Homenaje a Los Rumberos; and Plácido, who released his debut album Latidos through the label. Emerging artists on Sonic Projects include singer/songwriter Maréh from Cali, Colombia and Argentinian influencer Martina Dominguez (Marty D). Hailing from Venezuela, Losada, also known as “Mr. Sonic,” is a multi–Grammy and Latin Grammy winning Engineer, Producer and Songwriter with credits including Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin, Jon Secada, Shakira and many more. In addition to his role with Sonic Projects, he currently serves as Governor for the Recording Academy, NY chapter and is active in  education as adjunct professor in the Music Business and Music Technology programs at NYU.
