Muse Launches Receptor VIP Stage/Studio Plug-In Player
Muse Research has released (and is now shipping) their new Receptor VIP dedicated hardware plug-in player.
The Receptor VIP ($1,599 MAP) is a software-powered music instrument featuring a hardware interface for loading/manipulating virtual instruments and effects on stage combined with an entirely new GUI for editing/programming sounds in the studio – by attaching a mouse, monitor and keyboard. The unit has stereo inputs and outputs, along with a full size MIDI input and a footswitch for changing presets.

If you’re not familiar with the Muse and Receptor brands, Muse’s Receptor 2+ PRO product line is reportedly already in use on some of the biggest tours and stage productions, and on numerous TV shows and films. The VIP model joins the line to provide a more affordable and versatile live/studio solution to musicians and producers.
