Music House Moves: Boston-Based Gratitude Sound Expands to Los Angeles

The prolific Boston-based music company Gratitude Sound has just launched a West Coast office in Los Angeles. Gratitude Sound founder Bryan Hinkley announced that Scott Feldman will head up Gratitude Sound West where as Producer, he will pursue new clientele across the film, TV, and advertising industries for the company. Feldman will also work with emerging musicians and songwriters for licensing representation.

Gratitude regularly composes and produces original music for agencies, production companies, and direct to brands. The company’s prominent client base has included such brands as Reebok, Dunkin’ Donuts, GMC, and Planet Fitness, among others. Recent Gratitude projects have included music for Simple Mobile (Hill Holliday), Gulf States Toyota (MMB), and Wrangler Jeans (Toth+Co).
A 10-year LA music industry veteran, Feldman’s start was as the assistant to the composer and music supervisor of FX’s hit show “Sons of Anarchy,” Bob Thiele Jr. Shortly after his tenure with that series, Feldman created his own music company, Darkbloom Productions, for projects ranging from composition and production, to musical direction and artist development. Feldman’s work and collaborations have resulted in placements of his own music with ABC, NBC, TNT, Showtime and a host of other media outlets.
After working as a composer/producer for a Nashville based music house for a number of years, Hinkley launched Gratitude Sound in his hometown of Boston in March of 2014. His previous experience as a guitarist and stage manager allowed him to tour internationally with artists including Tree, Gang Green, Clutch, and 311.
Today, Gratitude Sound stands as a full-service music production company providing original music and licensing for advertising, film, TV, and multimedia projects. Their production team works with a network of composers, artists and bands to deliver exceptional and authentic music across a wide range of styles. Gratitude’s services include Original Music/Composition, Sonic Branding, and Artist Representation. The company also makes its catalog tracks available and works with label partnerships for one-stop licensing deals.
