Ned Mann’s “Finding My Way Home” To Fight ALS
Bassist, producer and engineer Ned Mann has released the double album Finding My Way Home, in an effort to raise money to fight ALS – Lou Gehrig’s disease – which he was diagnosed with in 1999. The album features jazz greats such as Randy Brecker, Will Lee, Chuck Loeb, Mike Stern and Rufus Reid playing contemporary jazz as well as standards.
While Ned’s brother David oversaw the recording sessions in NYC, Ned was able to complete all of the mixing and post production duties from his home computer in San Diego using SmartNav, a system that gives him full control of the mouse via head movement, in conjunction with Pro Tools.
All profits from Finding My Way Home sales will be donated to the ALS Association, a non profit organization seeking to find a cure for the disease. CDs are available now on CD Baby, and will be available soon for download on iTunes, AmazonMP3, and Rhapsody.
