M-Audio announces the Uber Mic.

With USB and headphone connectivity, along with zero-latency monitoring, M-Audio’s new Uber Mic enables you to record, podcast and broadcast on-the-go with unprecedented ease and sound quality.

M-Audio’s brand-new Uber Mic features USB and headphone connectivity, enabling you to record instruments, vocals, podcasts, and just about anything else—regardless of location.

With A/D converters that provide 16-bit resolution digital audio, recordings will exhibit exceptional dynamic range that capture every nuance and subtlety of the performance. When combined with a wide-range 30Hz-20kHz frequency response and sample rates up to 48kHz, recordings are clear and true to the original source.

Uber Mic is a large-diaphragm, 3-capsule condenser microphone, featuring a choice of four polar patterns including cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-8 and single point stereo. The USB/direct mixing control with mic volume enables zero-latency recording and monitoring, so you will hear exactly what you’re recording in real time.

The M-Audio Uber Mic will be available in Q4 2017, at a U.S. retail price is $99.

PreSonus announces Eris E3.5 speakers.

Elevate your gaming and home video production audio playback with the Eris E3.5 monitors by PreSonus—the newest and most compact offering in the renowned Eris Series.

Ideal for gaming and home video production, PreSonus® Eris® E3.5 two-way active media reference monitor speakers employ much the same technology as the company’s larger Eris-Series studio reference monitors to deliver studio-quality sound, with a smooth and accurate frequency response—yet they’re compact enough to fit almost anywhere.

The weave and nature of the Eris E3.5’s 3.5-inch, custom-woven Kevlar® low-frequency driver result in a more constant dispersion pattern throughout the frequency range, resulting in less time-smeared audio and cleaner overall sound. The speaker’s one-inch silk-dome tweeter produces a smooth and refined sound, accurately reproducing transients and high frequencies.

Simple high- and low-frequency controls let you adjust the speaker’s response for your space and tastes. A convenient front-panel volume knob sets both the speaker level and the integrated headphone amplifier level.

With three different types of audio inputs, it’s easy to feed audio to Eris E3.5 monitors from a mixer, an interface, a media player, or almost any other line-level source. The speaker is equipped with rear-panel, 1/4″ balanced TRS and RCA inputs, as well as front-panel 1/8” stereo line inputs for use with mobile audio devices.

The PreSonus Eris E3.5 active media reference monitor is expected to be available in late October 2017, at a U.S. MAP price of $99.95.
