Spector introduces the Euro RST basses.

Offered in four- and five-string models, along with improved electronics and more, Spector delivers the Euro RST bass line.

The new Euro RST (“roasted”) series basses are the latest additions to Spector’s acclaimed Euro series. Available in four- and five-string models, these basses bring Spector’s classic design into a new era with updated tonewoods, enhanced electronics, and a fresh palette of exclusive stain options.

Neck-through construction has long been central to the Spector design, and the 24-fret Euro RST takes this concept to the next level with a three-piece roasted maple neck and fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays, which not only gives this design a distinct look but also offers enhanced stability and rigidity. This perfectly tempered tonewood is paired with a uniquely figured flame maple top and empresswood back, for striking visual presence, resonance, and lightweight, balanced performance.

For electronics, Euro RST models are loaded with Aguilar Super Double pickups and OBP-2 preamps for an added midrange focus that’s sure to cut through any mix. These are the first Euro models to feature Super Double pickups. These hum-cancelling pickups feature two rows of Alnico V magnets to provide a dynamic, growly tone. When paired with the OBP-2, you can cut and boost frequencies to sculpt your ideal tone.

The Spector Euro RST series basses are available now, starting at $2,899.99.

Baby Audio releases the TAIP plugin.

Driven by artificial intelligence, the new TAIP plugin by Baby Audio offers a fresh take on tape emulation.

Instead of using traditional DSP, Baby Audio has developed TAIP around an AI algorithm designed to decipher the invisible nuances of analog circuits. The result is a truly faithful tape emulation that’s intuitive and creative in use—with some added features to accommodate a modern workflow. Use TAIP to bring a touch of warmth and glue, or “drive it like you hate it” as an alternative to distortion plugins.

For a hardware emulation project like TAIP, AI offers an alternative approach over the traditional DSP method. Where a normal DSP emulation would entail “guesstimating” the effect of various analog components and their mutual dependencies, TAIP uses AI/neural networks to accurately decipher the sonic qualities that make a tape machine sound and behave in the way it does.

Check out an introductory video to TAIP here.

TAIP is available now for a special introductory promo price of $39 (reg. $69).

Acon Digital releases DeVerberate 3.

This new iteration of DeVerberate 3 by Acon Digital features new reflection filters, fully automatable parameters, and more.

DeVerberate 3 is a plugin that attenuates unwanted reverb present in recorded audio. The new version includes an entirely new algorithm based on deep learning for fully automatic reverb reduction of recorded dialogue. By training a neural network on thousands of high-quality voice recordings and a wide variety of acoustical surroundings, the artificial intelligence can automatically distinguish dialogue from reverb. The separation works without user interaction and automatically adapts to changes in the reverb characteristics, thus making DeVerberate 3 extremely easy to use.

The reverb reduction algorithm from version 2 is included for music and other audio sources. Additionally, DeVerberate 3 offers an early reflections filter that can attenuate the unpleasant resonances that are frequently encountered in small rooms. All the plugin parameters are fully automatable.

DeVerberate 3 is available now at a special introductory promo price of $79.90 (reg. $99.90) for the full version and $29.90 (reg. $49.90) for upgrades from earlier versions.
