New Gear Alert: Waves’ MultiMod Rack, Volume 4 by Softube, Compact Sub from Subwoofer Pros & More

Waves unleashes the MultiMod Rack.

The MultiMod Rack enables you to combine some of Waves’ most powerful saturation tools all under one hood.

MultiMod Rack is a powerhouse suite that takes multiband distortion to the next level of both musical creativity and precision engineering. It allows music producers to create the wildest palette of richly modulatable distortion effects; and it allows mixing engineers to achieve multiband distortion and saturation with pinpoint surgical precision.

MultiMod Rack has three plugin slots, each of which can host Waves’ newest distortion and saturation plugins: the vintage analog-modeled Abbey Road Saturator, the modern waveshaper-based Berzerk, and the classic-sounding MDMX Screamer, Overdrive and Fuzz modules. The unique combination of diverse distortion colors, all working side by side, makes MultiMod Rack the most versatile distortion and saturation suite in existence.

Check out an introductory video to MultiMod Rack here.

MultiMod Rack is on sale now for $49.99 (reg. $99).

Softube’s Volume 4 retains time-tested classics while adding new and exciting titles from Marshall, Weiss, and more.

With Volume 4, Softube introduces a huge amount of value to the Volume collection—the American Class A channel strip joins the party, as does the TEC Award-nominated synth Monoment Bass. The Marshall Plexi Super Lead 1959 guitar amp is here at last, as are some of Softube’s classics: Spring Reverb, Acoustic Feedback, and the Passive-Active Pack. These new additions alone retail for more than the price of the collection. And there’s a lot more.

The top-quality plugins from previous Volume collections remain. Component-modeled analog channel strips, compressors & limiters, equalizers, effects, reverbs & delays, special processors, amp sims, and virtual instruments are all here, with hits like Tape and Weiss MM-1 Mastering Maximizer included.

The Studio Sub 10’s compact design makes it easy to integrate into any monitoring environment.

TransAudio Group, the U.S. distributor of high-end professional recording equipment, is pleased to announce the new Subwoofer Pros Studio Sub 10, an ultra-compact 12” x 14” x 11.5” subwoofer with remarkably low distortion, an even frequency response, and an adjustable HF cutoff to work seamlessly with any size nearfield monitor.

The sealed and self-powered Studio Sub 10 produces high-fidelity bass reproduction down to 16Hz, and it is small enough to place anywhere in the control room in singles or multiples for different output volume and/or room mode taming. Focusrite gives Plug-in Collective members two tools from Mastering The Mix.

Now through May 7th, Focusrite joins forces with Mastering The Mix to bring attractive new additions to the Plug-in Collective.

Members of Focusrite’s Plug-in Collective community can now download Mastering The Mix’s powerful IGNITE effect and an exclusive six-month trial version of the BASSROOM mastering EQ for free.

IGNITE is a dynamic harmonic distortion effect that brings level- and frequency-responsive grit, textural character and stereo enhancement to any instrumental or vocal source. Target specific frequencies for distortion, adjust the input signal threshold level above which it’s applied, shape the two-stage response envelope, and set IGNITE to work on the left/right, mid or side signals.

BASSROOM’s 3D interface and genre-specific EQ target suggestions—based on real-time analysis of your mixes—make productive manipulation of low frequencies almost effortless. Through the transparent processing of five carefully calibrated frequency bands, it lets you achieve the perfect blend of punchy low-mids and defined lows that’s key to a natural sounding master.

This offer is available now through May 7th, 2020. To join the Plug-in Collective, simply register any Focusrite hardware product, then look out for a new offer every couple of months.
