NYC Event Alert: Creative Media Design Hosts “Street Stories: Giving the Homeless a Voice” — 11/13

With the holidays approaching, images of abundance begin dancing through everyone’s head. The fact is that there are many who are less fortunate, with much less to look forward in the months ahead.

Knock Knock Give a Sock and CMD are teaming up to present a memorable evening on November 13.

The prolific New York City audio post house Creative Media Design (CMD) is helping the homeless this season with a thought-provoking event in their beautiful Midtown facility. On Tuesday, November 13th, at 6:30 PM they will be hosting “Street Stories: Giving The Homeless A Voice,” an audio exhibition that provides a unique window on the homeless community.

CMD has given the homeless a chance to tell their stories, and record their journey through music and sound. Featuring the musical composition of Dave Hart, CMD will be debuting mini-documentaries as well as a sneak peak of an original music video directed by Jeff Brabant that highlights the importance of human connection.

The studio has partnered with Knock Knock Give A Sock, a foundation that is fighting the stigma against homelessness, as well as JUMP Editorial to create the film.

All proceeds will go to the Knock Knock Give A Sock organization. “Street Stories” is free to attend, although contributions to Knock Knock Give A Sock are encouraged.

Doors open at 6:30pm, and the event starts at 7:00 PM. CMD is located at 37 West 37th Street, 12th Floor. Visit here to RSVP.
