NYC Event Alert: SSL SiX in the Mix – Alto Music Brooklyn, May 23

Been licking your chops at the chance to test drive the new SSL SiX? Your time has arrived.

Alto Music Brooklyn is hosting Solid State Logic’s Marc DeGeorge as he presents a thorough run-through of this handsome — and feature-packed — desktop mixer. The action takes place on Thursday, May 23rd, 12-4 PM at Alto Music Brooklyn, 67 West Street, #413. Attendance is free, visit the FB event page for more info.

The SiX provides two recording channels with SuperAnalogue mic pres, two-band EQ, a one-knob version of the classic SSL Channel Compressor, a new two-band Channel EQ, inserts and 100mm faders. In addition, a two-knob version of the G-Series Bus Compressor resides on the main mix bus, with SSL’s distinctive Listen Mic Compressor on the Talkback. For mixdowns, SiX becomes a twelve-channel summing system.
