Fret no more – there’s plenty that the working film composer can do to head off a disappointing outcome in the final film mix. The Society of Composers and Lyricists NY (SCL NY) is on hand to help with a not-to-be-missed event: “Post Mixing for the Film Composer with Tony Volante.”

This unique opportunity to learn from a prolific post film mixer will take place in two sessions on Thursday October 3, at 7:30 PM and 8:45 PM, at Sound Lounge NYC (149 5th Avenue, 12th Floor).

Composers are often frustrated when finally hearing their work in a final film mix. There are many tips that can help the working composer thrive in post. Don’t miss this opportunity to get a hands-on lesson from one of New York’s finest Post Film Mixers. Tony Volante, (Rachel Getting Married, Limitless, HBO Documentary: Prisoners of War on Drugs) will give a presentation at his custom studio at Sound Lounge in NYC. Join us to hear what composers can do to present their mixes to post engineers and together achieve the best possible result. The event will be moderated by SCL Steering Committee Member Chris Hajian with Q & A to follow.
