NYC New Composers Showcase At Vaudeville Park This Saturday, 10/9

This Saturday, October 9, Vaudeville Park — a Williamsburg music + art venue run by composer/musician Ian Colletti — will hold the first NYC New Composers Showcase for the “Music as Art/ Music is Art” Fall/Winter Program.

Brent Arnold uses a cello, his voice, and a battery of effects pedals to create songs which sonically range from minimal to massive.

The night will premiere both live ensembles and solo works by Til by Turning, Jessica Pavone and Brent Arnold, all acoustic and live with a paired art installation.

Vaudeville Park says: “Expect to be impressed by daring works for violin, viola, bassoon, cello, piano and voice…” at this, “a thrilling Autumn evening at Vaudeville Park, featuring the high crafts of innovative instrumentalists, as relevant to neo-classical music as they are to the NYC music scene of today.”

Anthony Braxton, John Zornand Modest Mouse are just a few of the artists who’ve recruited the talents of the evening’s composers and performers.
